Date Stone Coffee by Café Phoenix

Handcrafted in Yzerfontein, Café Phoenix Date Stone Coffee is made from the seeds of Medjool date palms (Phoenix dactylifera) sourced from South Africa’s Northern Cape. The seeds are slowly roasted to perfection in a rotisserie oven, resulting in a rich blend of nutty aromas, smoky bitterness, and a hint of caramel sweetness. After roasting, they are roughly crushed in a blade grinder, and then finely ground using a conical burr grinder. The result is a smooth, aromatic coffee suitable for a range of brewing methods, including espresso machines, pour-over filters, low-pressure pots, and manual presses.

The ground coffee is packaged in 300g coffee pouches. For customers who prefer to grind their coffee fresh at home or in-store, whole roasted date seeds are also available in 1kg coffee pouches.

Filter Directions: Add 30g of Café Phoenix Date Stone Coffee to 250ml of boiled water. Brew for approximately 4 minutes, then filter. For a creamier taste, optionally add 30ml of warm milk and sweeten to taste with sugar or your preferred sweetener. Best enjoyed when shared with friends.
